Aluminium Hinge - Mood board 1
This mood board is built up of ideas from the internet (with links in the left hand corner of board) which look specifically at fold out wall hooks and their hinges.
Aluminium Hinge - Mood board 2
This mood board focuses on specifically images of hinges from some images retrieved from the links in the left hand corner. I have also started to incorporate my design idea.
Aluminium Hinge - Hand Drawn Idea
This drawing is a sketch done after combining various ideas from my mood boards. This hand drawn process shows physical evidence of my ideas leading towards the development of my aluminium hinge fold out hook.
Triplex Model - 2D Model
This Triplex model was made in order to understand how my hinge would work. The pencil lines on the model indicate the wall thickness which is 3mm.

This is a 3D Triplex model of my design. I made this to ensure that my 2D model is accurate so that I could move forward and create a replica model digitally.

This Assembly shows that the two parts materials have been changed to ABS PC, this is done to give an accurate mass property reading so that when the part is 3D printed I would be able to know the mass beforehand.

3D Printed version of my wall hook & hinge
This is a 3D printed version of my first attempt of my design. After this was printed i have altered my design in order to produce a stronger and more efficient fold out wall hook, and hinge.
